Hi! I am Lloyd Kelly, the captain behind Sea Spark.

A bit about me:  I learned to sail in Dun Laoghaire in the 90's and have been on/in/around the water as long as I can remember. Having started working on outboards in my teens in Ireland, I have since gone on to work around the world from Canada to New Zealand, US, Austria, Bahamas, BVI, Antigua, etc. 

 Personally I have a 20ft day sailor here in Ireland and a 40ft Endurance Schooner in Greece. As well as a number of other smaller waterborne craft (projects). 

 I have worked on engines from 1950s two-stroke petrol "Seagulls" to today's modern computer controlled supercharged turbodiesels. And love taking things apart to see how they work. 

 Qualified RYA Diesel engine Instructor,  International Bareboat Skipper, Sail ICC, VHF SRC, RYA Powerboat level 2, REC 2- 1st Aid at sea, etc 

Work Experience: Technical manager-charter yacht fleet | Technical support-diesel engine manufacturer | General marine technician-main dealers for Suzuki, Mercury , Mariner , Evinrude, Johnson, Mercruiser, Yamaha | Diagnostics/electrical specialist - Volvo, Yamaha, Yanmar | Global Commissioning Manager -Marine electric propulsion manufacturer | Basic Marine training instructor. 

Boats are my passion, and sharing and teaching all about them, too.
