No! Not at all!
All our courses start from the very basics. How an engine works. What is electrical current. What is the difference between 2 stroke and 4 stroke...
But that said, we cover a lot of topics, so also the more "advanced students" get a lot out of them!!
Our typical course runs from 9 to 5. Obviously with breaks to take some air and get a coffee. And it combines theory in the classroom with practical "playing" around the engines or multimeters.
We also enjoy talking about the participants boats, their differences, their experiences. And if their boat is around, more than once we end up visiting it to get to see different engines!!  

One of our favourite things is to see the eclectic mix of people that join our courses.

Experienced sailors that want to get confident servicing their engine. Or that just got their first boat and want to understand as much as possible on how everything works. Professionals considering changing career towards marine. Young lads wanting to learn about outboards to work in their club. Families learning together.

And probably our favourite: women that don't want to stay behind in this world predominantly male!! We get plenty of women, both wanting to learn for their own boat, as well as other ones willing to know as much as their partner. We love seeing and helping empowered girls joining us!!

Yes! We can offer private courses, for example in your own club or boat.

We can also organize own-boat-tuitions to help you getting familiar with your boat.

We are based North Wicklow but we can travel.
